Size Matters: EBA designates Circle's USDC the EU's first "significant" e-money token under MiCA
The European Banking Authority (EBA) has classified USDC as the European Union's first "significant" e-money token (EMT) under the Markets in Crypto-Assets Regulation (MiCA), picking Circle's dollar-pegged stablecoin out of 45 EMTs notified across the bloc.
